The FDA just gave the go-ahead to Vetcare’s new injectable drug, Zenalpha.  Zenalpha has been shown to keep a dog’s heart rate close to normal range during surgery with its balanced combination of medetomidine and vatinoxan.

The drug can be used as both a sedative and analgesic while undergoing certain procedures under 30 minutes to help them be comfortable and reduce the pain. Not only that but this is the first time vatinoxan has been approved for use by the FDA.

You can read more about Zenalpha including its risks and benefits here.
